Before you start going kayaking, one should know about the varieties of kayaks available on the market today. This is because the right type of kayak can certainly make a difference during your trip. One needs to determine the location they intend to paddle with their kayak such as lakes, rivers, oceans or one that could let you travel anywhere. You will also need to consider the amount of time you intend to paddle your kayak, whether it is an hour, a day, or a few times a week. Lastly, you have to determine how far you want to travel with your kayak. It’s amazing the instincts that kick in ten or even twenty years after the fact. Things like putting a bar of soap in the leg of recycled pantyhose and hanging it from a tree at camp, was a big hit when I was camping a few years ago with a group of “urban dwellers”.  They thought my technique for keeping the soap dirt-free was simply genius, but I knew it was a simple Girl Scout trick.  Stopping a fellow camper from turning over a rock with her hands, and showing her how to overturn it with her foot was another that I realized was merely instinct based on my Girl Scout Days.

Then humans started to really settle in one place once they have learned to cultivate and recycle their food supplies in one area, At times, they will send individual to different areas for hunting hence a need to camp for the night or a few nights before going to their permanent settlements.

After all became more civilized, camping evolved into a recreational activity more than a necessity. It has become an unwinding experience to a lot people and when you say let’s go camping, one can imagine an enjoyable experience in some wilderness or to many nowadays, a beautiful camping park full of nature and leisure activities.

Nowadays, camping sites have become even technological what with the use of RVs which are  full of modern amenities and makes you feel you have a home wherever you are. Some even have camp venues full of modern cottages complete with modern facilities like tv, telephones and even internet access right in the middle of a jungle. Surprising but camping has grown with the times!
