While going for camp there are a lot of things you need to carry along with you one important thing being the knife. The knife protects you from wild animals and helps you to cut branches. There are a lot of knives available in the market which is specially designed for camping. There are sets of camping knives that you can use for camps.

The various types of knives include folding pocket knives which can be folded and used. Kitchen knives are similar to the knives used in a kitchen and can be used for cooking purposes at a camp. Another variety of knives is the pocket knives that are small sized and are very handy. It can be put inside the pocket and carried along with you. Swiss knives are very famous and they are a lot sharper than any other knives. The Swiss knives have many other tools attached along with it. Tips For Hunting Knives

Imagine getting lost while you went out camping and you just have a pocket knife. This could be your ultimate guide to survival in that wilderness. Yes that is right. Just keep walking till you reach a bee hive. Go ahead and make a fire of dried leaves, using stones. Now after the bees are gone use your knife to cut out the hive. Honey doesn’t go bad ever. They are a great source of protein and nutrition. It could be given to you strength you need to survive till you find a rescue. Many a men have known to have lived and survived on honey in the wilderness.

Knife would also come in handy if you need to cut things when you are lost. You might have to cut wilderness to make way for yourself. You might also need to cut a berry from a tree or a branch. If you are close to some heating source then you might like to use your knife to hunt down some small animal and then use it for roasting using conventional cooking style of making fire by using stones.
