How to Select a Campsite w/ Folding Chairs

Posted by admin - September 16th, 2009

As you plan your upcoming camping trip, be sure to visit the campground where you plan to stay.  Many campgrounds make reservations for specific sites, and if you do not specify where you wish to stay, you will likely be stuck in the leftover site that no one else wanted, then sit on a folding chair.
The first thing to consider when selecting a proper campsite is the safety of the area.  Is the site on a flood plain where you could get washed away?  Is it excessively close to the den of a large or dangerous animal?  If these or any other significant safety concerns apply, you should keep looking for a different site.
After you are confident that the site is free from any significant safety issues, consider the scenery.  Camping is all about appreciating nature, so it is important that your campsite be located in an area where you can appreciate the beauty of the flora and fauna around you.  Once you have found a safe and lovely area, make your reservation and enjoy your camping experience!
