First Aid Kits: Important outdoor emergency supplies

Preparation for a week end trip to outdoor location starts with making a list of outdoor emergency supplies, which are to be carried with you. If the proposed trip is to an unknown location away from human habitation where you may hardly find any people, the list of items should be verified and it should be ensured that no essential items are left out in the list.

When you are shopping for outdoor emergency supplies, often people used to forget about first aid kits which are as important as other supplies. But in a given situation during your stay in a hostile environment, there is every chance of getting attacked by wild animals and creatures and at that point of time you will realize the importance of carrying well equipped first aid kits.

For treating a small cut on any part of your body to a severe injury to your eyes, a first aid facility should be ready with your excursion team

Apart from first aid giving materials and medicines you can keep some pain killers and antibiotic tablets which are essential for keeping an injured person in a comfortable position till he returns to nearby village from where he may be given proper treatment by a physician.

Before proceeding to outdoor trip, you can update your first aid supply with the help of a medical practitioner and it is better to inform him about your visit and collect additional medicines which are required during your stay there. If you forget to carry some outdoor emergency supplies with you, it can be managed but without first aid kit you cannot proceed with your trip.
