There are many weapons that are used during hunting. A hunting knife is one of them. However, it is not used for hunting an animal. A hunting knife is used in preparing the hunted animal for cooking. It is used for skinning the hunted animal and cutting the flesh into pieces. A hunting knife can also be used as machetes or hatchets when these specific tools are not available. Thus, it is also termed as survival knifes.
A hunting knife always has only one sharpened edge and it is good in cutting flesh rather than stabbing. Usually, the blade is slightly curved, but in some hunting knives the blade has both a curved portion for skinning as well as a straight portion for cutting the meat. Some of the examples for hunting knives are the Bowie knife, the Puukko and the Sharpfinger. This specific tool can be a handy during a trekking, camping or a picnic. In many instances, a hunting knife has played the role of savior. Hence, this specific tool has important place in the travelers back pack.

They come in different shapes, sizes, colors, and styles. The everyday modern flashlight has transformed and now comes in whatever style needed for a particular task. Policemen carry the big heavy five pound flashlights, while Special Ops Teams utilize Night Vision goggles, each needed and intended for their specific job or duty.
Gold miners use flashlights attached to the top of their hard hats in order to have their hands free to excavate the treasure they seek. On that same note, somewhere out there is an older brother holding an ordinary flashlight close to his chin, while telling his younger brother a scary story. Flashlights have come to be an important commodity in our everyday lives.

Camping equipment is one of those things in life you can have forever. Its like a really good watch or a well made winter coat. If you buy really good camping equipment you can have it for a very long time. You can even pass really good equipment down to your kids. There are some things in life that are meant to be thrown away but really good camping gear does not fall into that category.
If you buy a really good axe you can have it sharpened. Cook wear for camping as long as it is cared for well never really needs to be replaced. The fabric of tents can mould or break down but if stored properly they can be saved for the long haul.
I inherited most of my camping equipment from my dad and on the rare occasions when both my parents come out into the woods with me the stories they tell about it are priceless. Now I am building my own memories with my kids. Its rare these days to have access to something like this. I think that makes an investment in good camping gear all the more worth it.
